Centennial prize 20 of September 1910
The day in the Equestrian Club began the 20 of September, with a lunch offered by the State of Chile in honour of the foreign delegations. After 14:00 hours the races of the Great Prize of the Centenary began. The event they attended Vice-president Emiliano Figueroa and the Argentine President Jose Figueroa Alcorta, in addition to ministers and other authorities. The Argentine horses were the favorites. Nevertheless, it surprised the victory of “Altanero”, a Chilean horse that entertained to its owners with a prize of 40,000 pesos and one gold glass donated by the Jockey Argentine Club.
